Windsor Warlocks will be hosting an Intermediate tournament on June 19th to 21st, 2020.  
Location:  Forest Glade Arena, Windsor

The tournament will be comprised of the following
8 Teams - Intermediate Boys
8 Teams - Intermediate Girls

100% Refund before May 15, 2020
50% Refund after May 15, 2020
No refunds after May 29, 2020

Tie Breaker

For 2 Teams Tied

a) Head to Head between the teams tied.
b) If tie still exists, the Goal Average Formula will be used to break the tie. All goals scored in the games during the competition shall be used in the goal average computation. (See Goal Average Formula below)
c) If a tie still exists, the team with least penalties in minutes in all Round Robin games played shall be declared the winner. In the case where the teams have not played the same number of games, the lowest average of the penalties in minutes in all Round Robin games shall be used to declare the winner.
d) If a tie still exists then a coin toss will decide the winner.

For 3 or more Teams Tied

a) The Goal Average Formula will be used to break the tie. All goals scored in the games during the competition shall be used in the goal average computation. (See Goal Average Formula below)

The Goal Average Formula is defined as follows:

GF + GA

The team with goal average closest to 1.0 shall be declared the winner

Game Rules

The tournament is sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) and as such is subject to OLA Rules and Regulations. Before the first game Tournament Officials will verify OLA Players and Coaches cards. Please Note: The OLA will not permit the participation of any player or bench staff whose OLA approved card is not available.

Team Rosters

1. A team will consist of a maximum of 19 player (18 + 1) if only 1 goaltender is dressed or 20 players (18 +2) if 2 goaltenders are dressed.
2. No more than 2 goaltenders may be dressed per team at any one time.
3. A team may have only one (1) trainer present on the bench at any one time.
4. The number of personnel allowed on the bench is limited to five (5)
5. In the event of a jersey colour conflict between 2 teams, the designated home team shall be responsible for changing jerseys.

Game Duration

All games in the tournament will consist of three (3) 15-minute periods. All games will be running time except for the last 5 minutes of the third period, providing there is a goal differential of 5 or fewer goals. Once the stop time/running time decision has been made, it will be irreversible. There will be a three minute rest between all periods.

Start Time

Teams must be prepared to start their games a minimum of 15-minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Time Outs

One time out allowed per game.
One time out allowed during regulation time in Semi-final and Final games.
One time out allowed during Overtime in Semi-final and Final games.
Timeouts not used during regulation may NOT be carried over in Overtime.

Overtime

Sudden Victory overtime periods of 5 minutes will be used. There will be a three (3) minute rest period. This format will continue until a winner is declared

Discipline Procedures

Tournament will follow the new Automatic Discipline Policy.

Any game misconduct, gross misconduct, match penalty, etc. is subject to a fine levied by the OLA. A team representative will be asked to sign a fine sheet at the conclusion of the game in which the penalty was assessed. The fines are not payable at the tournament. Instead, the OLA will invoice the organization for fines owed. It is up to the individual organization to collect said fine from persons involved.

A hearing will be held for all match penalties or gross misconducts.

Fighting

Players assessed GM45A (Fighting), GM45C (Restarting a Fight) and/or GM45D (Fighting Off the Playing Surface) during the Tournament, will be subject to the discipline as outlined Automatic Discipline Policy, in addition to being disqualified from any further play in that Invitational Tournament
